I Need To Practice This More Often!

It's Monday and on Monday's, we motivate! Also, I love to visit beautiful places on Monday's (and of course on every other day haha!)

This place makes me feel good. It makes me feel like home and it makes me feel very peaceful. I feel so fortunate, so happy and so grateful that I live pretty close to this wonderful peace of nature! This open field you see above, you enter after you've gone through the forest.

Being grateful

However, being grateful is something which I think I don't practice enough. It's so easy to take things for granted, but when I'm at this place, when I smell the fresh air, when I smell the trees and the leaves and everything that's connected with it, it makes me feel so good! It makes me feel like I'm home. It makes me feel great and it truly warms my heart! And that makes me realize how things are easily being taken for granted. Life is so busy - we have our kids, our jobs, our responsibilities, our families and so many things that we want, like our hobbies for example. All of this takes just a huge amount of time!

Gratitude journaling

Last weekend I came across something new (at least it was new for me). It's called gratitude  journaling. You just write down every single day things that you are grateful for, and I think that's something beautiful! To be honest, I really don't take the time anymore to journal... I used to journal quite a lot in the past though! It helped me especially in times when I felt bad. It made it easier to find the root cause of why I felt a certain way, so I could do something about it if necessary. However, journaling for what I am grateful never came to my mind. Of course, I wrote down now and then for what I was grateful but it was not my primary goal. I believe when you're focused on the gratitude part, you can write down really beautiful things!

I was just scrolling a bit on the internet about practicing gratefulness and I came across gratitude journaling. I thought it would be great to start THIS Monday with being more grateful and if you are like me, when you have the feeling that you are not grateful enough for everything in your life, then this is for you! You know, I'm happy I'm healthy, a man, being able to work out, for having my family, my children and my partner. I'm happy for the nature I am able to visit, where I live close by. I'm happy that I can eat every day what I want and for the fact that I have a roof above my head. I'm happy that I can sleep in a warm bed every single night. Seriously, there's tons of stuff to be grateful for! I'm grateful for you guys who watch my YouTube videos and for everyone who reads this blog and support me. I'm grateful for YouTube as a platform, which connected me with many awesome people!

Start today

I invite you to start today this week with gratitude journaling! Have a great Monday, a great week and make it count!
